The USC Pacific Asia Museum, built in 1924 in Pasadena, is a designated National Historic Landmark. NMN performed structural upgrades as part of a seismic retrofit to strengthen the museum’s walls and beams. Our scope included adding concrete to select walls and installing steel collector plates to reinforce beams. We also assisted with the restoration of historic architectural features, ensuring the structural integrity of this iconic Chinese Imperial Palace-style building was preserved while preparing it for future art storage and collection expansion.
