Scope: Shotcrete slope stabilization supporting new bridge construction on the Centennial Corridor.
As part of the $43 million Kern River Bridge Improvements project in Bakersfield, CA, NMN Construction performed critical shotcrete work to support the construction of four bridges spanning the Kern River and Truxtun Avenue. These crossings were built to accommodate the future Centennial Corridor (SR 58) and include new westbound exit connections to Mohawk Street. NMN’s scope focused on slope stabilization and shotcrete placement at key abutments and approaches, helping ensure long-term safety and performance. The largest bridge stretches over 1,200 feet and stands 75 feet high, requiring precise coordination and execution. NMN’s work played a vital role in strengthening regional infrastructure and advancing connectivity for the Bakersfield area.
